For years, Celia placed herself on the back burner while she cared for and bent over backwards for others, which led to her oral health needs not being taken care of. When her daughter was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer at a young age, Celia was her rock, working three jobs to care for her three children as a single parent, but it left little time for her to take care of her own health. Even during the roughest times and hardships she found joy in giving to others, even giving money she could have used on her own health to buy toys for children in the hospital. She had three missing teeth, two of which were at the forefront of her mouth and caused her problems with self confidence. The rest of her teeth were very brittle, which made eating and living a normal life very difficult.
After being chosen as one of the recipients of our Second Chance program, Celia visited our office and Drs. Pitrowski and Goldberg for a full-arch replacement. A full-arch replacement procedure is designed to restore a patient's complete oral function, oral health, and smile. Using as little as four dental implants as a base for a permanent denture, our doctors were able to replace all of Celia's teeth with brand new teeth that were custom designed to look and function just like natural teeth.
As a result of her full-arch replacement procedure, Celia has a new lease on life. With her second chance, she can now be proud of her smile, and she can eat all of her favorite foods without worrying about her teeth breaking or falling out. She can keep focusing on helping and giving to others without sacrificing her own health.
